    Story Behind the Song: I wanted to share this song, Elvis Is Alive, with everyone, because I thought this would be the perfect place for it. I recorded this in Nashville, Tennessee, about four years ago. I was working at the Famous Nashville Palace, owned by John Hobbs. If any of you know the story about the Nashville Palace, it was the place that Randy Travis was discovered and got his big record deal. He was working there as a dishwasher in the kitchen. I was lucky enough to get a job there as a bartender, and to have John Hobbs, give me the opportunity to sing on stage. One night, a friend of mine, brought in a guest from Mississippi. He owned all of the Clear Channel networks in Mississippi and some in Tennessee. I did not know he was there, but when I got off the stage one night he came running to me. He asked if I had any original recordings that he could play on his radio stations. Of course, I did not...so I didn't want to loose the opportunity so I went and made one. The process was grueling because I had to find a song. It took months of listening to song writers’ music all over Nashville. Then a friend of mine shared some of his music with me. Kenny Lee and Rick Blalock, (Rick wrote "Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox Before I Die) had written this song for someone else and had put it on the shelf to collect dust. Kenny couldn't believe I wanted to record this song, but I insisted. He said it was made for a guy to sing, but I still insisted I could do it. Now because I was a new to singing back then, I sang like everybody else. What I mean is if I sang Patsy Cline - I sounded like Patsy, if it was Tammy Wynette - I sounded like Tammy. So it was a challenge to find my real voice - Diana's voice - but we worked hard and found it. So I hope you enjoy my little Elvis tune. I had to reduce the quality to get this on here - the file was too big. Sorry...
